The Hobonichi Junji Ito: Tomie “Memory” A5 cover features artwork from Tomie, the debut work and one of the most iconic creations by horror manga master Junji Ito. Using original illustrations that bring Ito’s unique world to life, this cover bridges nearly 40 years since his 1987 debut.
Made of luxurious silver faux leather, this Cousin-size cover is printed with artwork and panels taken directly from the original Tomie manga. Beautiful, carefree, arrogant, and terrifying, the design showcases some of the most memorable scenes that capture Tomie’s many facets.
When opened, the print extends across the entire surface, from front to back. Every image is faithfully reproduced from the original manga, including the speech bubbles, allowing you to fully immerse yourself in Tomie’s unforgettable words.
The illustrations are printed in black ink on a silver background, with one striking exception: Tomie’s eyes are rendered in white ink. Their sharp contrast makes them especially captivating, emphasizing her hypnotic and unsettling presence.
Inside the back pocket, you’ll find another illustration of Tomie depicting a memorable scene in which a girl, enchanted by Tomie’s beautiful and mysterious hair, begins to admire her.
The inside of the cover is black and conceals a disturbing detail within the pocket where the Hobonichi Techo book slips in. Although hidden once the planner is inserted, the artwork reveals the darker side of Tomie’s world in every meticulously drawn line.
Also peeking out from the pocket is Tomie in the form of a human-faced tumor. Even when sitting in a trash can, her arrogant personality remains unchanged, and the man beside her obeys her without question.
Designed for the Hobonichi Techo Cousin A5, this item is sold as cover only. A bold and narrative-driven cover that brings Japanese horror into everyday planning.
