The Hobonichi Hon A6 Paper Series: Black Gingham 2026 Daily Planner is part of the Paper Series, which showcases the refined papers of Japanese manufacturer Takeo. This edition uses “Gingham GA,” an embossed paper with a plaid pattern reminiscent of classic gingham fabric.
At first glance it may appear to be a simple black book, but upon closer look the entire surface reveals a gingham check pattern that shifts with the angle of light. Despite its embossed design, the surface feels smooth to the touch. The year 2026 is foil-pressed in silver, adding a subtle, elegant highlight.
This edition differs from other HON planners with its thinner, softer cover, created by cutting the paper edges rather than wrapping material around cardboard. It does not include a built-in bookmark, but comes with an exclusive clear pencil board featuring a 5 mm grid, millimeter ruler, and integrated pen holder, which can also be used as a page marker.
Inside, the HON retains its hallmark features: thread-stitch binding that opens completely flat at 180°, Tomoe River paper thin yet durable and fountain pen friendly, and a page-per-day format offering ample space for notes, plans, and reflections.
Also included are yearly and monthly calendars, an index, and bonus pages such as Memories 2026, 12 Switches to Help You Focus, and For a Comfortable Night’s Sleep.
A planner that combines minimalism with uniqueness, ideal for those who prefer a subtle yet distinctive design—perfect for both professional and personal use.
