The Hobonichi Techo Weeks 2026 iyo okumi: A Story About Me is a collaboration with embroidery artist and illustrator iyo okumi. Her work, often inspired by animals, plants, and everyday objects, turns familiar motifs into romantic and fantastical designs that reflect her unique worldview.
Named A Story About Me, this planner was created with the idea of embracing each person’s own story. The cover reproduces one of okumi’s hand-embroidered works: a white dog resting in the grass and a black cat quietly joining, framed by a lace-like border of wildflowers and butterflies.
The details highlight the delicacy of hand stitching: the gentle lay of the animals’ fur, the flower bouquet at the top resembling a crown, foil-pressed in shimmering silver. The year 2026 is also stamped in silver foil, glowing softly in the light.
The smooth, lustrous cover finish enhances every detail of the embroidery, while the back shows wrapped thread cords, as if hinting at the tools used to create the piece.
