The Gravitas Vac 2.0 Aluminium Black is the evolution of Gravitas’ renowned Vac platform: a technical fountain pen engineered to deliver high performance through every detail.
Crafted from black anodized aluminium and Ultem, it preserves the balanced proportions and clean silhouette of the original design while introducing a more advanced internal construction and an even more refined writing experience. The cap and metal components share the same understated matte black finish, while the black PVD-coated stainless steel section adds weight close to the nib for enhanced stability and control during writing.
At the core of the pen lies the new Kraken Filling System, an innovative filling mechanism inspired by biomechanical valve engineering. An evolution of the traditional vacuum filler, it is designed to improve filling efficiency, sealing performance, and ease of maintenance. Thanks to its advanced construction, the Gravitas Vac 2.0 offers an impressive ink capacity of over 4.5 ml, making it ideal for extended writing sessions.
The pen features a dual reservoir ink window that allows easy monitoring of the ink level, while the removable section enables thorough cleaning and simplified maintenance of the filling mechanism.
The newly developed proprietary #6 stainless steel nib, available in EF, F, M and B sizes, has been designed entirely by Gravitas. It features no breather hole and a longer slit cut to improve responsiveness, ink flow, and writing feel.
Inside the cap, a Delrin inner sleeve with ACME threads improves sealing performance, helps prevent ink evaporation, and ensures a smoother capping, uncapping, and posting experience.
