Kakimori Metal Nib Copper

The Kakimori Metal Nib Copper was created from a desire to design a durable and practical dip pen nib that evolves alongside the user. Made from copper, it allows for a wide range of expression, producing fine to bold lines simply by adjusting the angle of the nib.

Designed by Yuto Yamazaki of Kuramae-based design studio Alloy, the nib is the result of extensive refinement. The tip is carefully rounded and polished, delivering an unexpectedly smooth writing experience and exceptional control.

Especially suited for artwork and expressive writing, the nib can be used at shallow angles to mimic brush-like strokes or at steeper angles to create precise, detailed lines.

Copper is a living material that naturally oxidizes when exposed to air. A reddish tint or light spotting may appear over time; this is normal and does not affect performance. Due to the natural softness of the metal, the tip gradually rounds with use, resulting in bolder lines and an increasingly smooth writing feel.

The Kakimori Metal Nib Copper is designed to develop character over time, becoming a unique tool shaped by your personal writing journey. It fits most standard nib holders, including those from Kakimori.
