The Delta Gladiator Gold K is a limited edition fountain pen from the Roma Aeterna collection, paying tribute to the gladiator and to the values of determination, discipline, honor and courage that have shaped his enduring legend. Entirely made in Italy, in Naples at the MAIORA workshops, Gladiator evokes the grandeur of Ancient Rome through materials, colors and details rich in meaning.
At the heart of the pen is a special artistic resin created by Jonathon Brooks, founder of Carolina Pen Company. Its intense red shades evoke Roman legion standards, commanders' cloaks and imperial purple, while the warm sand-colored veins recall the travertine of the Colosseum, the stone of the Imperial Fora and the dust of the arena. Every resin rod features an unrepeatable pattern, making each Gladiator unique.
In the Gold version, both cap and barrel are crafted from the precious red and sand-colored resin, complemented by 14k gold-plated metal trims. Even the shape of the cap becomes part of the story: its distinctive top is designed to recall the helmet of a Roman gladiator, turning the silhouette of the pen itself into a reference to the arena.
The theme continues with the central band decorated with a scene inspired by ancient mosaics depicting gladiators and the precious No. 6 solid 14k gold nib, embellished with an engraving of a Roman gladiator helmet. These details complement other references within the collection, from Verona Red marble to travertine, creating a continuous connection with the art and architecture of Ancient Rome.
The K version features a No. 6 solid 14k gold nib and uses a Reservoir filling system with a 2 ml ink capacity. Its balanced proportions, meticulous hand-finishing and careful assembly reflect the Italian craftsmanship that defines Delta creations.
Produced in a limited edition of 388 pieces, Delta Gladiator Gold K combines the symbolic strength of the arena with the precious character of a gold nib, creating one of the most refined interpretations of the Roma Aeterna collection.
