The Scribo Hane Toruko & Ruthenium fountain pen is a limited edition that combines Italian craftsmanship with the ancient Japanese art of Urushi Tamenuri lacquer.

Its deep, shifting turquoise evokes flowing water and changing light. The color transitions from bright and transparent tones to darker, more immersive shades, revealing a depth that unfolds over time.

This effect is achieved through the Tamenuri process, carried out by master Arakawa-san, who applies multiple layers of natural Urushi lacquer by hand. Each step requires time and precision, resulting in a translucent surface that enhances light and color depth. Over time, the lacquer evolves, making each pen uniquely personal.

The surface is completed with a hand-engraved Katakana signature, marking the collaboration between Japanese tradition and Scribo.

Assembled in Bologna, the pen is fitted with a Scribo nib, available in 18k gold or 14k flexible gold, delivering a smooth and expressive writing experience.
