Taccia Shio-sai Yo-nami is a gorgeous fountain pen that expresses beautiful waves made with the Japanese raden maki-e technique. Yo-nami features a pattern that evokes the image of night waves. The name yo-nami means night wave.
The Raden is a technique in which the mother-of-pearl layer inside the shell is cut into thin pieces and polished to create a pattern. Craftsmen carefully selected the colors and created patterns that evoke the images of morning waves.
The pen shape comes from the scabbard of Japanese Samurai sword. It is a perfect cylinder made of precious and high-quality ebonite. The 14k gold nib is made by Sailor and fills ink via Sailor cartridge/converter (included).
Taccia Shio-sai Yo-nami features a green clip and is limited to 88 pieces worldwide.
