Kyoto Ink Kyo No Oto No.LTD Hisui is a fountain pen ink inspired by the luminous beauty of jade. The name “Hisui” comes from the kingfisher, a bird whose feathers shimmer in blue-green hues. During Japan’s Heian period, this color was considered auspicious, symbolizing purity and prosperity. The same shade later gave its name to the precious jade gemstone, admired for its soft, elegant glow.
Part of the renowned Kyo No Oto collection, this limited edition recreates a traditional Japanese color through modern dyeing techniques. The series was developed by TAG Stationery in collaboration with the Kyoto Kusaki Dye Laboratory, known for its research into natural dyes and the historical colors of Japan. Each ink in the series captures a unique cultural essence, blending artistry and heritage.
Kyo No Oto Hisui is a dye-based ink with rich shading and beautiful transparency, ideal for expressive writing and for bringing subtle variations of color to life on the page. A refined choice for those who appreciate elegance, history, and craftsmanship.
