Inspired by the incredible scenery of Mt. Fuji surrounded by wispy clouds, Fuji Unkei is designed to capture this natural wonder using a variety of decorative techniques. The second pen of this collection is called Kasumi.
Platinum 3776 Century Kasumi features a transparent body with green cap and grip section. The green color is inspired by the rich natural greenery that can be glimpsed at the foot of Mt. Fuji through the mist. The barrel is carved to reproduce the Kasumi - Mon (Kasumi pattern) that has been seen on picture scrolls and folding screen paintings since ancient times. By connecting small circular cuts, Platinum expressed the appearance of waving mist. This continuous yet irregularly arranged pattern gives a complex contrast and shine, creating a unique fountain pen never seen before.
The fountain pen is equipped with a 14k gold nib and comes with a nut inside the cap top that honors Mt. Fuji and is the signature of the Fuji series. A serial number is engraved on cap. The exclusive box contains a bottle of Fuji-No-Akatsuki ink that is inspired by the purplish panoramic view of Mt. Fuji seen at dawn. The ink can appear from purple to greenish depending on the lighting, paper and amount of ink.
