The Sailor ProGear King of Pen Japanese Tea Ceremony Matcha belongs to the fifth collection of the Teatime Around the World series, dedicated to the Japanese tradition of Cha-no-yu. The tea ceremony is an ancient ritual, dating back to the 15th century with master Sen no Rikyu, where every gesture – from boiling water to whisking the tea – becomes an expression of harmony, beauty, and spirituality. It is an art that engages all five senses, evoking peace and mindfulness.

The Matcha color is inspired by the finely ground Tencha green tea powder, traditionally prepared with a bamboo whisk called Cha-sen. In the Japanese tea ceremony, two styles of tea are served: Koicha, thick and rich with a paste-like texture, and Usucha, lighter and frothier. This green shade chosen by Sailor reflects the depth and refinement of this centuries-old practice, bringing the same intensity found in a cup of matcha into the design of the pen.

In the prestigious King of Pen size, this model offers an imposing and elegant writing experience, enhanced by a 21k gold nib that glides smoothly across the page. Each stroke becomes part of a personal ritual, a daily moment of focus and beauty.
